Before last year that feat had not been accomplished in 17 years. In singles American River had 4 seeded players. #3 seed Andrew Swart reached the quarterfinals before falling to Conner Van Alstyne from Santa Rosa. Thomas Coibion, the tournament’s #4 seed, also lost to a Santa Rosa player, Adam Cassabon, in the quarterfinals. #9 seed Ron Hooper, #12 seed Noah Winters, and Lane Bacchi all won first round matches before losing in the qualifying round. Swart and Coibion will move on to the Norcal Regional tournament to represent ARC in singles.
