The Beavers
finished fifth at the 36-hole match at Brookside Country
Club, just strokes away from qualifying for the State
Tournament. ARC was within four strokes of the lead after
the first 18 holes, but faltered in the second round to slip
out of the top four and the right to advance. |

8 Conference Tournament 11, held at Lincoln Hills Golf
Course, the Beavers took fourth but took third place in the
Big 8. Scott Daley led ARC with a round of 69 while Andrew
Poole finished with a 74, Derik Peters had a 75, and Joell
Coloma and Zack Carter each fired a 79. |

8 Conference Tournament 10, held at Windsor Golf Course, the
Beavers took third and solidified their hold on third place
in the conference. Scott Daley shot a 72 and Derek Peters
finished with a 73 to lead ARC. |

In a
non-conference match, the Beavers came in third of a
four-way match in which four strokes separated the top team
score to the last. Joell Coloma fired a par 72 on the
Windsor course to tie for second in individual play, and
three other ARC golfers were right behind. Andrew Poole and
Derik Peters each finished with a 74, and Scott Daley came
in with a 78. |

The Beavers
continued their streak of steady play by again having every
player under 80 on the par-72 Catta Verdera course in
Lincoln. Andrew Poole finished with a 74 to lead ARC.
Joell Coloma fired a 75, Derik Peters had a 76, and Mike
Jimenez and Zack Carter each had a 79 to round out the
scoring. |

The Beavers
put together their best outing of the season, scoring a
five-stroke win in the Big 8 Tournament #8 at Spring Creek
Golf and Country Club in Ripon. Joell Coloma and Scott
Daley each finished with a par-72 and a three way tie for
second in individual honors, but it was the play of the
entire squad that led to the victory. Mike Jimenez came in
with a 73, Andrew Poole shot a 74, and Zach Carter had a
78. Derik Peters, whose score did not count in the team
score, fired a solid 79. |

With only
three strokes separating first and third place, the Beavers
found themselves in the thick of the most competitive Big 8
Tournament of the season. Sierra, on the strength of
medalist Wes Sandroni’s 72, held off the Bear Cubs and the
Beavers. ARC had one of its best showings of the spring.
Joell Coloma and Mike Jimenez each fired a one-over 73, and
Andrew Poole and Scott Daley both finished with a round of
74. |

Poole and Mike Jimenez came in with scores of 79, but they
were the only Beavers under 80 as ARC slipped to fourth in
the Big 8 Conference Tournament # 6 at Silverado Country
Club. Joell Coloma finished with an 80, Scott Daley had an
81, and Derik Peters carded an 82. |

Course to lead the Beavers to the third-place finish. Scott
Daley put up a 77 and Joell Coloma came in at 79 for ARC,
which solidified its third-place standing in the Big 8

Scott Daley
fired a one-over par 73 to take second in the four-way match
at Oakdale in Modesto. Daley, who had an impressive round
despite taking an eight on the 17th hole, and Andrew Poole
were the only Beaver golfers to finish below 80. Poole shot
a 78 to tie for sixth place. Matt Siepert shot an 82, Mike
Jimenez an 84, and Derik Peters an 86 to round out the top
scorers for ARC. |

Playing a
four-way match at the Silverado North course, the Beavers
stayed in contention with the Wolverines with consistent
scoring, but could not get any players to break 80. ARC’s
Joell Coloma carded an 81 to post the team’s lowest score,
but Derik Peters (82), Zack Carter (83), Scott Daley (83),
Mike Jimenez (84), and Andrew Poole (85) were not far off
the pace. |

Scott Daley
aced the 9th hole at Elkhorn Country Club in Stockton with a
9-iron as the Beavers finished second at the Big 8
Tournament #4. ARC totaled a 385, just five strokes off the
pace set by the Bear Cubs. It was Daley’s first hole in one
this season, the second of his career. Daley finished with
the low score for the Beavers, but three other players broke
80. Andrew Poole and Derik Peters each totaled a 76, and
Joell Coloma came in with a 79. |

The Beavers
turned in a solid, consistent team effort as five golfers
shot under 80 at the Oakmont Country Club near Santa Rosa,
but a technicality kept ARC from earning top honors at the
Big 8 Tournament #3. Andrew Poole fired a 74, and Scott
Daley and Derik Peters finished with 75’s, but it was a
disqualification that proved to be the most critical score.
Zach Carter, who carded a 71, was disqualified for signing
an incorrect scorecard. |

first Big 8 Tournament of the season, the Beavers’ Zach
Carter fired a three-under par 69 to lead a competitive
field at Teal Bend. Carter led five ARC golfers who
finished at 77 or lower, enabling the Beavers to register a
tie with the Mustangs. Andrew Poole shot a 74, the
fourth-best total on the day, Joell Coloma finished with a
76, and Scott Daley and Derek Peters each carded a 77. |

Playing in
the wind and rain at Morgan Creek in Roseville, the Beavers’
Joell Coloma again earned medalist honors, but it was not
enough to stay with a consistent Bear Cubs squad. Coloma
finished two strokes ahead of three Santa Rosa golfers—Todd
Dvornik, Aidan Pinch, and Nick Kovarik—but no other ARC
golfers broke 82 on the wet course. |

handled the wind and their opponents in the four-way match
at Teal Bend. ARC’s Michael Jimenez shot a 74 to earn
medalist honors, three strokes ahead of teammate Joell
Coloma, and five in front of ARC Andrew Poole and Derek
Peters. No golfer from any of the other three schools broke
80 on the course. |

70 at Bidwell Park Golf Course in Chico. After scoring a
nine on the first hole, Andrew Poole turned it around to
finish with a 76 and third place. Derek Peters and Matt
Siepert each had solid rounds, giving ARC the edge over the
Roadrunners. |
