Welcome to the Sacramento Regional Public Safety Training Center

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the Sacramento Regional Public Safety Training Center. The demands of public safety professionals require us to obtain and/or develop the best basic, specialized, and advanced training possible.  To that end we are committed to providing quality training to all who come to the Sacramento Regional Public Safety Training Center.

You will find a variety of training courses that are available to law enforcement, fire, correctional agencies, and private enterprise.  We have developed training relationships with the Sacramento Sheriff’s Department, Sacramento Police Department, Sacramento City Fire, Sacramento Metro Fire, USDA-Forestry, Elk Grove Community Services District, Sacramento Law Enforcement Chaplains and Folsom Police Department.  If you meet the necessary prerequisites, you may be able to attend many of these agency’s courses. 

While many courses are intended for current practitioners in the field, we also offer many courses that are readily available to the community college student.  In addition to our in-service courses we offer the Basic Law Enforcement Academy, a Corrections Officer Core Course, Probation Officer Core Course and a Juvenile Corrections Core Course.  These academies provide certification for entry-level positions into these career fields. 

I encourage you to share in your learning experience at the Sacramento Regional Public Safety Training Center by participating in the classroom discussions, asking questions, and sharing your knowledge and experiences with your fellow students.  Our staff and instructors are available to assist you with any administrative tasks or special needs that you may have.   We look forward to being part of your future success, and hope you enjoy your experience at the Sacramento Regional Public Safety Training Center.
