About Us

We believe it is our responsibility to equip our students with the knowledge, skills, and familiarity with the equipment that they will be expected to possess when they enter the job market. We accomplish this through classroom instruction delivered by knowlegeable, caring instructors combined with projects, hands-on recording labs, and recording sessions utilizing a wide range of types of gear ranging from entry-level to state-of-the-art. As the student gains expertise, they are exposed to more technically challenging, high-end equipment. Dr. Merlyn Van Regenmorter and Jon Talbot at the AVID D-Command ES in Recording Studio B.

Our faculty and staff are dedicated to equipping students with the latest information, techniques, and skills on the state-of-the-art equipment and software that this rapidly-changing industry demands. Our instructors are working professionals who are in tune with the heart and soul of the industry. In addition to being educators, they serve as musical artists, consultants, recording and live sound engineers, owning/operating recording studios and sound companies, writing for technical publications and books, serving on industry boards, appearing as guest clinicians and panelists, and involvement with artist development and promotion.
