Ken Hendrickson has been teaching art since 1983. He has BFA and MFA degrees from UC Santa Barbara. Ken has studied with Ciel Bergman (aka Cheryl Bowers), Charles Garabedian, Raphael Soyer, Guy Williams, and Doug Edge. Ken has taught at UCSB, Santa Barbara City College, Sierra College, and has been teaching in the Art New Media Department at American River College since 2002. Ken has been painting with oils since high school (late 60’s) and has worked with watercolor since 1979. Ken has a background with digital art also, having worked as an illustrator for the Califonia DMV on their web development team. Ken has shown his work extensively in Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, and San Francisco. He has placed his work in public and private collections around the US. Ken has a rabid interest and love of gardening, music of all kinds, and animals. After living and working in San Francisco and Sacramento for 17 years, Ken has been happily residing on three acres in the small farming hamlet of Herald, California since 2004.
